Field of Flags

On the tenth anniversary of 911, the Exchange Clubs of Salem / Keizer and their community partners returned to Salem’s riverfront park to present the “Field of Flags”.  In honor of the 911 victims, and in the honor to our servicemen & women who gave their lives in the war on terror, a display of more than 5,000 Flags & Banners were posted in Salem’s riverfront park!

Healing Field

2006 marked the 5th anniversary of the horrific events of Sept 11th, 2001. Working with businesses, community leaders, city officials and individuals seeking to honor the victims, the Exchange Clubs of Salem / Keizer spear headed an effort to do just that! Just as its tongue-twisting title suggests, this popular projects involves the distribution of small American flags to youngsters at parades, fairs, picnics, school events or other community happenings!
